We Made It!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be posting a huge thank you to everyone who donated their hard earned money, and blog space to help us help Kramer, as soon as I can. In the meantime, please accept our heartfelt Thank You!!!
Please go here for a wrap up!

Kramer finished his 1st round of meds tue. It's amazing what even a little treatment can do. He's got a lot of energy, and a huge appetite!

This is Kramer, my beloved German Short haired Pointer. He is an amazing dog. About 2 and a half years ago, Kramer was diagnosed with cancer of the lymph nodes, and the vet gave him 3-6 months to live. We had the option of chemo, at a cost of about $3000.00, to buy him another 6-12 months. We opted for the chemo, and Kramer stayed in remission for an astounding 30 months. This is almost unheard of.

About a month ago, we noticed the lymph nodes on his neck and hind legs were swollen again. He had come out of remission.

This awesome little dude is a fighter, he has the most incredible spirit, and we are getting him chemo again, no matter what.

I own and operate a small business that I opened almost three years ago, and while it has not lost any money, that is, I have not had to re-invest any money since opening, (a success in itself, most new businesses lose money for the first two years), it's not bringing a paycheck to me yet, and I have no employees. My wife is an office manager, and we are able to live on her income, albeit a little tightly.

Unfortunately, this is an expense we are unable to meet on our own at this point in time, and while asking for money is something I am loathe to do, this dog is more than worth it to my wife and I. We don't have children, and dog lovers can understand what this dog means to us. The $3000.00 it cost last time was the best money we ever spent, it gave us over two more years with our beloved little dude, and we appreciate every minute of it.

I'm not the worlds most emotional guy, and I really suck at putting "feelings" other than anger into words, but I just can't lose Kramer right now, and triple that for my wife. I'll do anything to keep this dog with us, he's not done living yet.

We have set up a page on fundable.org with Kramers story (as told by Kramer himself, typed sans thumbs!)if you wish to contribute to getting our pal back in remission. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. I cannot tell you how much we love this amazing guy, it will be money well spent. Also, as an added bonus, you will get to find out my super-secret identity!

I will bump this post to the top of the page each day, until Oct. 9th, the deadline for us to meet the $2500 we are seeking. Also I'll be adding updates on Kramer's progress, as well as how close we are getting to our goal, and the names and links to anyone who contributed (if you like).

Update!!! A gigantic THANK YOU!!! to Enas Yorl, and Nice Deb, for linking this post, and their contributions, as well as a bonus link at The Hostages. You really meet the best people through Ace! Mrs. bmac and I, and of course Kramer, offer a sincere thank you.

UPDATE
These chemo treatments are done in one month increments, for five months, and Kramer has already had one treatment, about a week and a half ago. The swelling on his lymph nodes has already gone down, and the vet gives a great prognoses! The $2500 is for the remaining 4 treatments + meds.

UPDATE

In case anyone doesn't know, no money will be taken until, and unless, the target amount is reached.

UPDATE
A special thanks to WickedPinto, who is posting this on the whole of the web. WP, you are awesome.

One more thing: After Oct. 9th, this blog will be defunct, re-titled, and moved to a new URL, in order to regain (some) blogging anonymity.
Update
Screw the anonymity! I'm still moving the blog though, to Wordpress, cause I can do more cool stuff. Still putting it together, and will post URL here. I always hated the title of this blog as well, I kind of started it on a whim, and didn't really put a lot of thought into it.
